Public CSD Risk Assessments

Thomas Murray's Public CSD Risk Assessments are requested by CSDs to be performed on themselves, as opposed to being requested by those entities that utilise their services. These assessments go into much more detail than the CSD Risk Assessments.

A Public CSD risk assessment provides an objective third party evaluation of a CSD’s capabilities, in order to assist the depository to develop and market their business both domestically and internationally. The assessment methodology considers the capabilities of the depository and the quality and effectiveness of its operational infrastructure in managing and reducing risks for its participants. Thomas Murray analysts provide direct feedback to the CSD’s management on improvements that could be made to operational structures, processes and controls via a private Management Report and presentation. The CSD also retains the right to publish or otherwise disseminate its Risk Assessment and component Risk Grades for the tenure of the agreement.
