Socura will also resell Thomas Murray's Incident Response Retainer Services.
London, UK, Thursday 5th December 2024
Thomas Murray, a leading expert in cyber security and Incident Response (IR), today announced a strategic partnership with Socura, a UK-based Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider. The collaboration will see Thomas Murray offer Socura MDR to help its clients proactively identify and respond to threats. Meanwhile, Socura will offer Thomas Murray’s Incident Response Retainer (IRR) services to its clients who want to test and improve their cyber incident response plans as well as call upon digital forensics specialists to investigate and recover from attacks.
Socura’s MDR service is delivered by an experienced team of Security Operations Centre (SOC) experts who protect many of the UK’s biggest companies and public sector organisations, including many large NHS trusts and hospitals. Now, all Thomas Murray clients can access Socura’s SOC team to help them quickly scale their capabilities and proactively identify threats around the clock. When Thomas Murray helps organisations recover from breaches, Socura’s service will assist the process, manage any endpoint detection tooling installed as part of the IR process, and reduce the risk of subsequent incidents.
Among the Thomas Murray IRR and consultancy services that will now be available to Socura’s clients are table-top exercises, pen testing, red teaming and cyber awareness training. Thomas Murray’s specialist digital forensics and cyber incident response team (DFIR) will also be on hand to augment the capabilities of Socura MDR and aid response to major attacks, such as when attackers are able to establish persistence and move laterally across networks.
Ioan Peters, Managing Director of Cyber Risk at Thomas Murray said "We are excited to join forces with Socura, an innovative company that shares our passion for delivering exceptional cyber security services. Together, we will help organisations strengthen their defences against cyber threats and be better prepared to respond in the event of a security incident."
“Proactive threat detection and response is vital to minimising cyber risk, but particularly so in the event of a breach,” says Andy Kays CEO of Socura. “It’s why we’re delighted to partner with Thomas Murray and offer their clients that are dealing with a cyber incident the expertise they need to rapidly scale their capabilities and prevent repeat attacks. Thomas Murray’s considerable experience managing cyber incidents means they will also play an important role in helping our own clients to further increase their cyber preparedness.”
