AIFMD so far

Webinar date:
Thursday 12 February at 14:00 GMT

On Thursday 12 February 2015, Dominic Hobson and Roger Fishwick were delighted to be joined by Ian Headon of Northern Trust, Bill Prew of INDOS Financial, Mark Sweeney of Citco and Shane Ralph Ralph of State Street to discuss their experiences, from a depositary perspective, of AIFMD (the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive).

The Directive came into full force across Europe on 22 July 2014. This was an opportunity to discuss the impact it has had so far, as well as looking more closely at the anticipated outcome of ESMA's review of AIFMD, due to be published later this year. How have the banks' clients been handling the Directive? What questions and concerns have they been raising? Hos are the banks dealing with the extended monitoring and due diligence that is required of them under AIFMD?

We also welcomed a host of questions from our audience on the day. If you were unable to join us on the day or would like to listen again, you can click below for a full audio replay of the session:

If you have any questions arising from the discussion, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We hope that you will be able to join us in future for further discussion around AIFMD and UCITS V.
